Physio and Rehabilitation

Functional movement is central to what it means to be healthy.

Physiotherapy is a professional, scientific and holistic therapeutic method that focuses on the restoration of normal function and movement, as well as minimising dysfunction and maximising potential after injury or disease.

It uses physical means and its extensive knowledge of the body to assess, treat and manage musculoskeletal problems.

Treatment methods include massage, soft tissue release and mobilisation, joint manipulation and mobilisation, therapeutic exercise, postural re-education, acupuncture and electrotherapy.

More recently Pilates has started being integrated into physiotherapy

The success Pilates has in rehabilitation differentiates it from other forms of exercise and links it with physiotherapy practice. The integration of Pilates and physiotherapy facilitates the transition from therapy to exercise for health and well being.
