Nutritional
Therapy

Nutritional therapy is a system of healing based on the notion that food provides the medicine we need to maintain a state of health. Diet plays a fundamental role in our health and a nutritionally dense diet makes it possible for the body to use its natural healing energy to rejuvenate and repair itself. Benefits include weight loss or weight gain, decreased cholesterol levels, increased energy levels and also preparing the body pre-pregnancy.

Diet and Detoxification

"Today's busy lifestyles make it difficult to have a "perfect" diet and this may have a negative effect on our health. The application of sound nutritional advice can benefit everyone, and a good treatment programme will not only achieve your desired results but is also sustainable and easy to integrate into everyday life.

Altering the diet is the main element of any treatment programme and a good Nutritional Therapist will explain how and why changes will positively affect your health. All consultations are tailored to individual needs, reflecting the fact that we all have different nutritional requirements depending on sex, age, lifestyle, environment and current state of health. Sometimes supplements may be suggested to support a dietary programme in order to accelerate progress. Supplements need to be carefully balanced in the body as some nutrients are dependent on others in order to be absorbed. Sometimes, too much of one nutrient can lead to a deficiency in another. A well-designed supplement programme avoids these potential pitfalls."
